Handling your Rabbit properly
The first thing you should learn with owning a pet rabbit.
is how to handle them properly.
If not handled correctly rabbits can seriously injure their backs.
The rear legs must always be controlled when picking up a rabbit.
A Good Example of picking up a rabbit is to
Place one hand under the Rabbit just below the front legs
with your other hand under the rump,
this usually prevents them from kicking with back legs.

However please be careful:
rabbits claws are extremely sharp and can cause severe scratches.
Important to Remember:
NEVER to Pick a rabbit up by it's ears and if it is necessary
to pick the rabbit
up by the scruff of it's neck, use caution.
Struggling rabbits can be seriously injured this way.
Handling Rabbits incorrectly can lead to the rabbits
injury A serious injury that may occur from holding a
rabbit incorrectly is Spinal fracture.
This quite
often happens when you are holding your rabbit incorrectly and it gets startled
by either a loud noise or fast movement around him. He then jumps out of your
arms or wriggles out and falls. This can result in spinal fracture, where their
spine and their hind quarters are paralyzed. Unfortunately, 90% of rabbits
that have this injury must be put to sleep.
